Most third-party MagSafe chargers fail in the same direction: they’re either flat pucks that leave your phone face-down on a desk, or they’re articulating arm contraptions that wobble every time you tap the screen. Anker’s 637 MagSafe Stand - the one with the fixed 60-degree angle - quietly avoids both problems, and it’s been sitting on my desk for six weeks without once making me wish I’d bought something else.

The angle is the whole product. Sixty degrees is steep enough to see notifications clearly from a seated position, shallow enough that the phone doesn’t feel like it’s about to topple. Belkin’s comparable stand opts for something closer to 45 degrees, which pushes the phone more horizontal than it should be for desk use. Apple’s own MagSafe charger gives you zero degrees unless you prop it against something. Anker made one deliberate choice and built the product around it.

The magnetic hold is noticeably firmer than the flat puck chargers. This matters more than it sounds - with a flat puck, any cable tension or desk vibration can break the connection. On this stand, the phone locks in with a satisfying snap and stays there even when you’re typing hard nearby. I tested it with a Moment case and a bare iPhone 16 Pro; both held without drifting.

Charging speed is 15W, which is what Apple certifies for MagSafe on iPhone 12 and later. No surprises there, and no throttling observed over extended overnight sessions.

The build is matte plastic over a weighted base. It is not a beautiful object. If your desk aesthetic involves machined aluminum and braided cables, this will annoy you. But the base is heavy enough that it doesn’t skitter when you detach your phone one-handed, which is the actual functional requirement most people ignore when buying these things.

At around $35, it undercuts Belkin’s equivalent by roughly $15 and doesn’t sacrifice anything measurable to get there. The only real omission is a second USB-C port for a watch charger, which some competitors include - but adding that feature seems to be how chargers in this category justify doubling the price without improving the core function.
