But that undersells why this product is actually interesting, because the wireless charging accessory market is genuinely full of objects that fail at the basic job.
Anker’s MagGo 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station - the foldable version - handles an iPhone via MagSafe-compatible 15W charging, an Apple Watch via a recessed puck, and AirPods on a standard Qi pad at the base. The fold-out design means it collapses flat for travel, which sounds like a marketing bullet point until you’ve actually thrown it in a bag. It’s thin enough that you stop noticing it’s there.
Where Most of These Stations Fall Apart
The competing products in this category tend to fail in one of two ways. Either the alignment is fussy - you set your phone down two millimetres off-centre and wake up to a dead battery - or the build quality is good but the charging speeds are quietly throttled. Belkin’s 3-in-1 stand, which costs noticeably more, has faced both criticisms across multiple revisions.
Anker gets the alignment right. The MagSafe puck has enough magnetic pull that the phone snaps decisively, and the Watch charger sits in a well that keeps things from sliding. Whether that holds up after a year of daily use is an open question, but out of the box it feels more deliberate than most.
The One Real Complaint
The cable is permanently attached and exits from the bottom. This is common in the category and still annoying. If it dies, you’re replacing the whole unit.
Why It’s Worth Recommending
Most people buying a charging station are buying it because they’re tired of three cables on their nightstand. The MagGo solves that without requiring any configuration, any companion app, or any firmware update. It just works from the moment you plug it in.
