Most wireless charging pads arrive with ambitions they can’t deliver on. RGB accents. App connectivity. Stands that wobble under the weight of anything larger than an iPhone 13 mini. Qi2 matters here more than the product name suggests. Where first-generation Qi was a floor, Qi2 is an actual standard, meaning the 15W magnetic fast charging it delivers to iPhones isn’t a Anker-specific claim - it’s guaranteed by the certification. That reliability is something Apple’s own MagSafe accessories have never quite managed to commoditise, mostly because Apple kept the licensing expensive for years. The Qi2 standard changed that, and the MagGo station is one of the cleaner implementations of it on the market right now.
The physical design is understated in a way that feels almost deliberate. The arm holding the phone clicks into a fixed angle rather than floating freely, which means it doesn’t drift when you pull your phone off in the dark at 2am. The Apple Watch puck is recessed slightly and charges at 5W for Series 7 and later. The AirPods pad sits at the base and handles whatever Qi device you drop on it. There’s a single cable out the back - USB-C, included - and a power brick in the box.
That last point is worth pausing on. The number of premium charging accessories that ship without a power adapter in 2026 is genuinely annoying, and Anker including one here keeps the total setup cost honest.
Where It Falls Short
The Watch charger is the weakest link. Fast charging for Apple Watch Ultra and Series 9 onward requires 18W input and a compatible charger design, and the MagGo station doesn’t support it - you’re capped at 5W regardless. If you wear an Ultra and care about getting from 20% to 80% before a run, this will frustrate you. That’s not a dealbreaker for most people, but it’s a real omission given the price point sits around $90.
The foldable design also doesn’t fold as flat as the marketing photos suggest. It’s more “compact for a bag” than “slips into a jacket pocket.”
The Actual Verdict
The MagGo 3-in-1 is the charging station to buy if you’re an iPhone user who wants everything on one surface and doesn’t want to think about it again. It’s not the fastest option at any individual task, but it’s competent at all of them simultaneously, and in a product category overrun by ambitious failures, competence at everything is rarer than it should be.
